CINEMA MANAGER BigScreen Cinemas Hervey Bay Location: 128 Boat Harbour Drive, PIALBA, Hervey Bay, QLD, 4655 Employment Type: Full Time Salary: AUD 73,000 – 80,000 The Big Screen Cinemas Hervey Bay main focus is to provide great family entertainment for all ages. Currently we have seven (7) modern multiscreen cinemas specialising in the latest 2D and 3D blockbusters. We also have a small café to provide a variety of food and beverages. The venue is licensed to service alcohol in a responsible manner. We have a vacancy opening for skilled and experienced Cinema Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the venue. This role is to ensure the efficient operations of the venue, with particular emphasis on exceptional customer service, and consistency of staff’s duties and responsibilities under the direction of the Manager. This role will be suited to someone who has strong leadership and management skills, and has the ability to encourage and motivate others. Experience in cinema operations is not essential, however we are looking for a reliable team member who is open to learn and understand the cinema projection and programming aspects of the Cinema. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys running a venue, building a team and maintaining strong operational standards. Our expectation is that the Cinema manager would be available to work days, mid shifts, night and weekends shifts to ensure the venue is operationally safe and managed. Summary of Duties - Managing staff on shift, giving direction and motivating
- Train and mentor staff
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures
- TANDA – manage and maintain rosters
- Financial performance, stock management and cost control
- Staff performance – managing and conducting performance appraisals
- Handling Customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner
- Ensuring staff are adhering to our ‘SMILE’ values
- Communicate with head office regarding staffing and operational matters
- WHS maintenance and presentation of facilities
- Implement and develop local marketing activities
Qualifications and Experience: - Diploma level qualifications
- Proven experience as a manager with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- RMLV Certificate and License
- Current First Aid certificate
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate well with all ages
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to supervise staff
- High standard of personal hygiene and grooming
- Customer service focus
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
